Alongside Architect of Record VMDO, smbw provided interior design and furniture selection services for the renovation of Liberty University’s Athletic Center. The Athletics Center integrates athletic operations, training facilities, and academic support services to provide an innovative athletic facility for D-1 student athletes.

APPROACH
This 72,240-sf facility provides a holistic athletic and academic ecosystem in one convenient location. While the building capitalizes on the natural Lynchburg views and maximizes day lighting, the interior design and furniture selections use a natural material palette with subtle nods to Liberty Flame pride.
