Located at the edge of Richmond’s Manchester neighborhood along Maury Street, Solaria Apartments is a mixed-use development that reimagines contemporary urban living. The building’s bold, dynamic architecture blends organic forms with vibrant contrasts, creating a distinctive visual identity within the evolving neighborhood. BUILDING DETAILS

Solaria Apartments features 289 units total, with a mix of Studios, 1 and 2 bedrooms and ground floor loft-style apartments. The building is 5 stories of wood framed construction (Type IIIB) overtop of a 2 story concrete podium (Type IA). In the center of the building mass there is a 6 story precast garage (Type IA) allowing for a minimum of one space per unit. The primary materials incorporated into the design include Brick, Metal Wall Panels, and EIFS. The building systems include concealed split system heat pumps, two DOAS units, and decentralized hot water heaters.

AMENITIES + BRANDING

This project features a robust collection of amenities designed to support active wellness and recreation. These include a fitness center, infrared sauna, plunge pool, multipurpose fitness room, and an outdoor fitness space. Residents also have access to a pool deck with a separate lap pool, golf simulator, and clubhouse.
