Project Manager

SMBW is seeking a Project Manager to join the firm, leading multiple mid-sized projects. Strong team communication and leadership is required along with good client management skills. While this is not primarily a design-focused role, a good design sense is required.  An adept SMBW Project Manager possesses strong technical knowledge and the ability to motivate a team to design and document projects at a high level of design excellence.  

SMBW is an integrated studio of Architects and Interior Designers and the ideal candidate must be comfortable leading multi-disciplined teams.  Candidate must be well-versed in Revit (though the role requires limited drawing) Bluebeam Studio, and Miro or Mural.  Candidate should also be LEED accredited and (at minimum) conversant with WELL and Net Zero. This position reports to the Principal of Architecture.

Must Haves

NAAB-accredited Architecture degree.
12+ years of professional architectural experience.
Must be a licensed Architect, registered in the State of VA (or willingness to acquire).
LEED-accredited professional.
Experience leading diverse teams in a project management role.
Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills.
Strong technical and building code knowledge.
Software proficiencies: Revit, Bluebeam Studio.
