Interior Designer
SMBW is seeking a Interior Designer to join our dynamic, growing team.
Must haves
A Bachelors or Masters from a CIDA- accredited university
5-8 years professional interior design experience
Knowledge of furniture, finishes, space planning, and attention to detail
Knowledge of Building Code and ADA
Working knowledge in Revit required (Sketch-Up and AutoCAD are helpful)
Ability to work well collaboratively and independently
Completed or interest in completion NCIDQ and LEED exams
The day-to-day
Attend project team meetings to develop and implement thoughtful design solutions, catered to specific client needs
Develop interior concepts and schemes to include: material palettes, lighting, feature elements, ceiling design, millwork, furniture, and graphics
Creatively and interactively present design concepts and ideas
Using Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUP to produce visually stunning, high-quality drawings and renderings
FF&E Packages: furniture plans including systems furniture, consultant coordination, furniture and finish selection, coordination with building’s interior, familiarity with state and national furniture contracts, bid analysis, coordination with furniture vendors and dealer, furniture installation coordination/supervision, and furniture punch list
Complete comprehensive document packages to include: Finish Plans, Schedules, Specifications, and Legends, Interior Elevations, Millwork Details, Lighting and Reflected Ceiling Plans
