Tiny Living Enthusiast
Annie is a semi-professional “Wearer of Many Hats.” Since joining the SMBW team in 2014, Annie acted as the Studio Manager for two years before shifting her position to focus exclusively on marketing. She spends her days at SMBW building proposals, coordinating photo shoots and creating print collateral, aside from a general mixed bag of day-to-day marketing duties. Through 2017, Annie also acted as Founding Managing Director of TheatreLAB, an award-winning local theatre company based in Downtown Richmond. For her work at TheatreLAB, Annie was selected by Style Weekly as one of 2017’s Women in the Arts, as well as part of the 2016 Top 40 Under 40 class.
What are your professional goals and drivers?
I am inspired and motivated by working with passionate, creative people. I aspire to use my marketing and business acumen to support the development and execution of their work.
Best mistake you’ve ever made?
Moving to Richmond back in 2011 on a whim without a real job. This town has a way of sinking its claws in and not letting go!
What are your personal passions?
In 2018, I designed and built my first home: a 160 square foot tiny house on wheels! I finished the build in October, moved in in December, and have been loving it ever since. I also document and blog about my tiny living journey at PocketManor.com.
